December 21st was the Winter Solstice, so I was grateful to see these two short pieces as part of Sally’s Christmas Short Stories feature.

Winter Solstice In the House of the Phoenix
(An Alchemical Allusion)

Sorry off topic.
Firstly, wishing you both a Happy Christmas from Sheila and myself.
Secondly: Thanks for the Goodreads review. True Vol.II does beg yet another revision for typos, (curse you cyber-elves) and ‘stuff’. I was guilty of a great deal of enthusiasm piling into this volume, trying to depict aspects from first, second and third person perspectives and the whole confusion which War brings, probably every literary influence encountered managed to elbow in too! Glad you enjoyed it though.
Vol.III nearly completed, will need revision.
Annnddd may revise all three before completing Vol IV.
Thanks again Audrey for all your support it does keeping me clicking away on the laptop.
All the best for 2020 (a bright new decade….writing wise that is)

Your enthusiasm for this fictional world and its characters is definitely visible in Vol. II and makes the whole thing work. Good to hear that the story continues!
Best wishes to you and Sheila for Christmas and the New Year!

Thank you again Audrey for all your help and support. Vol III is nearly completed… now if only Arketre and Karlyn would let me in on what just what they truly intend to do in the destructive climax (and why???) 🤨
