I wish I could see these beautiful plants, Audrey. The flat in which I live has a lovely, spacious garden. But I do miss having a garden of my own, and always enjoy sitting in my mum’s garden when visiting her in Liverpool. Kevin

Thank you, Kevin. If it were possible to include scents in blog posts, I would have included hyacinths which smell lovely right now.

Hyacinths have such a wonderful scent. I purchased one a couple of weeks back and it perfumed my living room for a week or so. I still remember having a wishing well full of hyacinths as a child. Kevin

I know your hard work in the garden has been cathartic in the past, Audrey but every bit of your labour shows through in its beauty. Well done plants, but even more well done you.
Huge Hugs

The plants and I manage to cooperate most of the time, to our mutual benefit. Thanks for your comment, David, and hugs back to you. I hope your health improves, and it’s good to know you have good nursing care most of the time.

Thanks, Liz. I hover over them, cajole, negotiate, threaten, etc.

😀 I’m more of a laissez faire gardener–and then wonder why the whole thing ends up overrun with weeds.

Some of my best friends are weeds or near-weeds. They’re reliable but need a firm hand with the clippers to keep them from dominance by seeding. Real weeds, on the other hand, are the ones that send out suckers underground.
